Booster Bath

Oh my aching back. That might be what you say after giving your Berner a bath in your bath tub at home. Well, you are in need of a very special item that is going to be the prize for the lucky winner of the Health Fund Auction Seed Money Fundraiser. Alexis Smith has donated a BOOSTER BATH* for us to have a mini-fundraiser to raise money that can be used to have a successful Health Fund Auction in Rhode Island in 2008.

Sometimes the committee has a nice painting or print but they need to have it matted and framed to make it more desirable, so it will raise more money to help support research to benefit our beloved Berners. Sometimes the auction chairs find a wonderfully unique Berner item that would be perfect for the auction, but alas, they don’t have any money to purchase the item. We want to make money available for the Health Fund Auction Committee so they can maximize the attraction of items, so we can have a very successful auction at the National Specialty in Rhode Island.

The money raised for this fundraiser will go into a special revolving fund, each future auction chair will have it available for their use, and they will replenish it at the end of the fundraiser to make it available for the next year. We will not need any future fundraisers for this purpose ~ this is a one time deal.

This fundraiser is mini – it will last just one week, with an additional week to allow all of the checks and cheques to reach me. It is mini in that there is just one maxi prize – the BOOSTER BATH donated by Alexis Smith!

This fundraiser will hopefully be MAXI – we hope that the amount of money it raises will be enough to help get some fantastic items for the fundraiser and to mat and frame some paintings and prints.

The fundraiser will run from Tuesday, September 18th to Tuesday, September 25th. The drawing will take place on Sunday, September 30th.
